The Nurturehood Approach
At Nurturehood, my approach is grounded in neuroscience, connection and attachment.
I believe that when parents are given the understanding of the science behind nurture, they can parent with more confidence, connection and dare I say… joy.
Babies make sense
Every need tells us something about a developing brain. When we understand what’s happening in our babies’ brains, their wakings, cries, need for closeness and struggles with transitions begin to make sense.
Every behaviour is communication
Behaviour isn't manipulative, and it isn't a sign that you've done something wrong. There is a reason behind it. And understanding that reason changes everything.
Instead of asking, “How do I stop this?”, we can start asking, “What is my baby communicating?”
Sleep is developmental
Sleep is not a skill to be taught or a problem to fix. It’s something that emerges as the brain and nervous system matures within a safe and nurturing environment.
Science and intuition belong together
Research can help explain why our instincts often make so much sense. You know your baby best. Understanding the science allows you to parent with greater confidence, connection and trust in your own intuition.
Every family deserves a unique approach
Every baby is different. Every parent is different. Every family has different needs.
Babies’ brain develop through relationship
Babies are born expecting closeness, safety and connection. Their nervous systems mature through relationships, through co-regulation.
Interdependence creates the foundation for independence when babies are developmentally ready.
My role is to walk alongside you.
to help you understand
to support your confidence
to explore possibilities with you
to help you reconnect with your own intuition
Because you already know your baby in ways no expert ever could.
